Presentation of the Centre
Established in 2015, the Institut National du Cancer (INC) coordinates public and private efforts to provide treatment, care, and support to cancer patients in Luxembourg. It actively promotes cancer research and education, operating under the mandate and funding of the Ministry of Health and Social Security. As part of the National Cancer Plan, the INC aims to improve cancer care by contributing to the national healthcare framework, establishing networks, and fostering collaborations with expert centres abroad. Its team specialises in project management, stakeholder alignment, and process optimisation, with a focus on strategic planning and collaboration with the government, healthcare providers, and research institutions.
Main Research Activities
The INC, primarily focused on healthcare policy studies internally, actively supports biomedical research conducted by its members and partner organisations. It fosters links between national clinical and research actors by supporting specific research actions and programmes. It collaborates with various European authorities and promotes Luxembourg's ties to international scientific bodies.
Education
The INC is dedicated to advancing cancer care by supporting university medical education programmes. Tailored for professionals in the field, our engagement ensures up-to-date knowledge and practices, emphasising our commitment to patient care excellence.
